'Three Dumplings' is a family name, coined by
our young son many years ago when he would watch as I made dumplings as canapés.
It always brings back lovely memories.

I have been cooking professionally for over

20 years, as a private chef running my own catering company as well as providing cookery lessons where I create speciality dishes and teach food-lovers how to prepare their own asian dishes.

Local chef, Judy @3dumplings hosts cosy, elegant supper clubs at her Balham home. The Singapore-born Chef Judy will be preparing a six-course menu to celebrate the Year of the Dragon. Given the importance of foodin Chinese culture, it is not surprising that certain food play a major role in Chinese New Year celebrations. Tangerines and oranges are abundant as they represent ‘wealth’ and ‘good fortune’ respectively. Pomelo means‘to have’; a whole chicken eaten during the Chinese New Year period symbolizes family togetherness; uncut noodles represent longevity, while the word  for ‘fish’ in Chinese sounds similar to ‘prosperity’.

The cost for this special Supper Club is £85pp,
